The productions I have helped to create range from site-specific commissions, participatory outdoor theatre, intimate tactile performances, extraordinary storytelling with ordinary objects and extravagant mid-scale xmas shows for families.
As a director/dramaturg, I am particularly interested in capturing a child’s perspective with authenticity and humour; focusing on creating stories that can be enjoyed for different reasons by both adults and children together. My work for theatre has been praised by both national & international press and is highly regarded within the TYA sector. I am recognised for creating performances that have been researched thoroughly with children’s input and that allow children to fully participate within the production.

As well as running Tell Tale Hearts, I have also enjoyed the freedom to work as a freelance director for many different organisations ranging from large Rep theatres to small-scale emerging companies including; Theatre by the Lake, Nottingham Playhouse, Imagination Stage (USA), Travelled Companions, Lunabug, Urban Angels Circus, Serious Mischief circus theatre & Pif-Paf. I love to create a playful environment in rehearsals, ensuring all artists are able to contribute and give their best.
